Frameless Channel Glass Balustrade / Handrail System – Silver anodised aluminium H-channel extrusion. Price is per metre, supplied in 3m lengths only (multiples of 3, 6, 9, 12m) and cut to size onsite as required. Compatible with 12mm toughened glass (0.36kN / 0.74kN) or 22.6mm SGP laminated glass (1.5kN). Fully tested to BS6180:2011.

[Low Iron Toughened Glass – Multiple Stock Sizes]
1100mm high (1080mm actual glass height, achieving 1100mm finished height FFL when installed). Low iron ultra-clear toughened glass to BS EN 12150. Stock widths: 300mm, 600mm, 990mm, allowing flexible layouts using combinations (recommended 5–10mm spacing between panels). Bespoke sizes available subject to lead time.

[Fully Tested Load Ratings – Residential to Commercial Options]
Tested to 0.36kN / 0.74kN line load in accordance with BS6180:2011, suitable for domestic, residential and light commercial applications (non-crowded areas).
Higher spec options available on request:
• 1.5kN – public walkways, retail, bars, restaurants
• 3.0kN+ – high crowd load areas (e.g. shopping centres, stadiums)

[Complete Installation Kit Included]
Each 3m length supplied with:
• 2 x 3m rubber gaskets (Side A + Side B)
• 24 packer wedges (for 12mm glass)
Glass secured via hex grub screws with rubber inserts for firm, safe clamping. Designed for straightforward installation with all core components included.

[Premium Finish & Optional Accessories]
Heavy-duty aluminium base with 304 stainless steel cover plate (45mm W x 123mm H) for a clean, minimal finish (optional RAL9005 matt black trim also available). Suitable for internal & external use.
Optional upgrades include:
• 304 stainless steel U-channel top capping / handrail (rubber fitted)
• 90° corner sections (150mm), connection pins & end plates
• For coastal environments, 316 grade stainless steel recommended

12mm Toughened glass for 0.36kN / 0.74kN/m according to BS6180:2011 thus suitable for for residential/domestic/home/office or areas not subject to overcrowding 

22.6mm SGP laminated glass for 1.5kN -  areas where people may congregate/public walkways, retail, bars, restaurants etc under 3m or over 3.0kN for public/crowd loading areas over 3m wide ie. bars & Shopping malls, cinemas, sports arenas (check with building control for what spec is required for your individual project needs)

Emphasis is made on ensuring the stainless is well cleaned before 'hand over' as it is likely that the surface has been contaminated during storage, fabrication and transporting. This is true regardless of which grade of stainless is chosen. Where 'rust' has appeared on the surface which is called 'tea staining', a mild acid cleaner such as white vinegar or a specialist stainless steel cleaner can be applied with a microfibre cloth. This information should be passed onto the end user to help avoid any complaints after installation.
